Light & Wonder has joined forces with Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) to enhance gaming entertainment across the cruise operator’s entire 18-ship fleet. This partnership marks an important step forward in delivering innovative gaming experiences at sea.
In this partnership, Light & Wonder will install 200 GM Atlas systems featuring wide area progressive (WAP) jackpots. These systems will connect gaming experiences across NCL’s vessels., allowing passengers to enjoy a seamless and engaging gaming experience. Popular table games such as blackjack and poker derivatives will also be included, adding diversity to the gaming options available. The key highlight of this initiative is the introduction of the Operator Wide Area Progressive (OWAP) table games network, a first for NCL.
Innovative technology
Light & Wonder’s GM Atlas systems and OWAP technology are designed to bring the excitement of land-based casinos to the high seas. By linking titles across NCL’s fleet, the system ensures that every player on board can participate in larger, more exciting jackpots.

The collaboration began with the first progressive system installation on the Norwegian Breakaway in August. Additional installations are now underway across the fleet, ensuring all passengers can soon enjoy these cutting-edge gaming enhancements.
