Last night’s SiGMA iGathering in Barcelona brought together industry leaders, innovators, and visionaries in an intimate and vibrant setting. Held at the exclusive Pipa Club, the event was sponsored by Dream Play, Testa, BetStarters, and Contemporanea Eventi, offering guests an exceptional networking experience. As SiGMA , Eman Pulis, described, “We chose a place that is hidden in Barcelona and has a lot of character, and we decided to invite a couple hundred people to join us for some Tapas.” Adding a touch of mystery, attendees received secret passwords to enter the venue and were provided with carnival masks, enhancing the evening’s allure.

The event also provided a platform to discuss transformative ideas in gaming and technology. Ian Sherrington, CEO of Crownstar and a pioneer in AI-driven sports betting, shared insights on his recent innovation: “Three weeks ago, I thought, wouldn’t it be great if AI could predict the result of a football match? I wrote some code, and now, on ai.crownstar.com, you can enter a football team’s name, and it analyses statistics, runs computations, and provides predictions through ChatGPT.”

Luca Fagioli, Director of Technology at Panga Games, highlighted the role of automation and AI in their operations: “The key to our success has always been automation, and AI gives us the best opportunity to reinforce this concept.” Similarly, Andrea Mauro, Gaming Investment Advisor, emphasised the importance of data-driven strategies: “Data is fundamental in this business; the more we collect from players, the better we can direct our marketing campaigns.”
