Dinos Stranomitis, Director and COO of Altenar, stressed the importance of collective responsibility: “Environmental social responsibility is something we should all keep in mind. We all live in the same environment, and we have to make sure that everything is getting better and better.” His comments reflect the broader industry sentiment that prioritising ESG is no longer optional but essential for long-term growth.
From a corporate perspective, Rosi Bremec, COO at Game Lounge, provided a glimpse into how companies are addressing social responsibility internally. “We’ve launched a four-day workweek experiment in July and August, which was received very well. Ninety-seven percent of our employees reported feeling more energised and productive.” Her focus on employee wellbeing highlights the tangible benefits of integrating ESG into corporate culture.
Rubio Teixeira, founder of iGaming legal consultancy Octus, provided an international viewpoint: “ESG is becoming more prominent in Brazil due to the influence of European Union practices. It’s a concept that’s transitioning from policy to practice.” This trend signals the growing global alignment of gaming operations with ESG standards.
Similarly, Plínio Lemos, President of ANJL, reflected on the adaptability of the gaming industry: “Today, the industry is already adapting to new rules and achievements. ESG is a world market trend and will soon be part of the daily life of companies in sports betting.”
On a personal level, Leonid Pertsovskiy, CEO and co-founder of Betby, underscored the emotional connection to ESG values: “It is not only about social responsibility but also personal responsibility—about how I feel in the industry and what I think people perceive about it. The pillars of satisfaction, joy, and pride are fundamental.” The gaming industry’s journey toward ESG integration is well underway, with companies across the globe aligning their operations to meet sustainability and ethical benchmarks.
